Appointment Policies

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.   For your convenience, ‘drop-off’ appointments are available. A drop-off means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to drop off sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

Per California law and for the safety of all animal handlers, Rabies vaccine is required to be up to date for exams and treatments.

Patient Arrival Policy

Please remain in your vehicle if you have a pet on arrival. Please call or text to let us know you have arrived. This is to encourage a fear free environment within the office. We have several animal aggressive patients and want everyone to remain as safe as possible.

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.

Late Arrival Policy

5/2023. We have a 10 minute late policy. If you arrive after 10 mins, you are subject to a late fee. It is at the doctor and technician's discretion if they can squeeze you in between the appointments following yours.

Cancellation Policy

1/2023.  In order to provide the best care possible to our treasured pets, please call and cancel any appointments within 24 hours.  Failure to do so may result in delay of treatment to you and others.

No Show Policy

5/2023.  A "No Show" is when a client calls and cancels the appointment within 1 hour of the appointment start time or does not show for a scheduled appointment. There is a fee associated with a no show if you are seeing a technician or a doctor.

New Client Policy

1/2023. We only accept 20 new clients per month. A "New Client" is any client who has not been seen previously at Country Oaks Veterinary Hospital. Additionally, if you are an inactive client and have not been seen within the last 3 years, you are considered a new client. When scheduling an appointment as a new client, you are required to confirm your appointment the day prior. If the appointment is not confirmed, the appointment will be canceled and a current client will be offered the appointment slot.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, CareCredit, cash and personal checks
